College athletics is changing faster than ever — and Wisconsin Rowing is rising to meet the moment.
Introducing Wisconsin High Performance (WHP) — the Midwest’s first USRowing-sanctioned high performance training center, created to ensure Wisconsin athletes continue to compete, develop, and win at the highest levels of the sport.
Rooted at the historic Porter Boathouse on the University of Wisconsin campus, WHP represents a bold evolution of the Badger rowing model: creating the vehicle to add another coach dedicated to training Wisconsin oarsmen and recruiting the high-caliber athletes needed to compete in today’s collegiate rowing environment. WHP also allows Wisconsin to keep high potential walk-on athletes without impacting the roster limits. Finally, WHP provides an opportunity for athletes aspiring to make the US National Team to train and compete under the WHP club.
WHP is a pillar of Project 2030 and made possible by the support of the Stewards of 1874 Annual Excellence Fund.
