The Stewards of 1874 organization was created to lead the fundraising and community building efforts for Wisconsin Men’s Rowing. With the significant changes in collegiate rowing over the last several decades and the recent changes in college athletics, the program leadership turned to the alumni for financial support and Stewards was established, building on the predecessor organization Friends of Wisconsin Rowing.
